Automation World reported, "The digital code is used by a 3D printer to produce a portable factory, which can be used to make the drug by adding the chemicals in a pre-defined fail-safe sequence." There could eventually be personalization options and it could make prescriptions more affordable. Time will tell if this method becomes widely used in the industry.
